Most Liked

Customers rave about the lightly battered fish, often praising its crispy coating and generous portion sizes. The chips have received their fair share of compliments, especially when they return to their chippy roots—fluffy and perfectly fried. The value for money is another highlight, with many dishes priced under £10, making it easy to enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. The friendly staff adds to the charm, creating an inviting atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back. Special offerings like the Loaded Animal Fries have also generated excitement, bringing an innovative twist to the menu.

Most Disliked

Some customers have noted inconsistencies with the chips, particularly after the opening day when they were surprisingly steak-like. While the issues appear to have been resolved, initial impressions can linger. A few reviews highlighted that certain items, like mushy peas, didn't meet expectations in taste. Some visitors also expressed disappointment with the Too Good To Go bags, feeling that the value did not fully align with what they received. Additionally, during busy periods, wait times for fresh fish can vary, which might deter those craving a quick meal.

I started the link on Google Maps. I will review and provide feedback when we have sampled the food. Day of opening and we had fish and chips half price. Fish: nice lightly battered, good size and not soggy with cooking fat Chip: these are like steak chips, light fluffy and not covered in cooking fat, fairly dry it seems. Chips Update. After opening day thet chips are now chippy chips as you would expect. I will update on the fish when we get another. Update on Chips: after the first day opening the chips are now like chippy chips. Must have been just a one off day for the steak like chips. The menu is now on my picture uploads and I have updated the opening times. Would we have them again: for £7.95 for fish and chips, yes we would.

I bought a too good to go bag from here which was £4.99, this was meant to be £15 worth of food left at the end of the day, what we received wasn't £15 worth according to their menu but more like £10 worth so still a great bag and the food was absolutely delicious. We got a large fish and chips, bread rolls and mushy peas, the peas weren't good but the fish chips and roll were perfect. The chips were delicious , fish tasted good and the batter was light and crispy. The standard price for a large fish and chips here is £7.95 and it fed both my husband and me easily so it's a great price for fab food and amazing portion size. I would definitely recommend and we will be buying from here in the future.

Ordered 2 fish butties. Had to wait for them to be freshly fried as is the case when it's quite (Monday lunchtime). Very nice in long soft bread roll. Competitively priced. No reason not to return, all ok.
